BackConcerns over cycle laws

Living Streets is concerned about the proposals to allow cyclists to turn left at traffic lights when they are on red, given the existing problems pedestrians face with some anti-social behaviour from cyclists at pedestrian crossings. This measure will clearly undermine many Londoners' confidence to move round the city on foot. For a true revolution in walking and cycling, the Mayor needs an integrated approach to encouraging walking and cycling in London.  Although measures to improve the safety of cyclists should clearly be a priority, these should not come at the expense of the confidence and safety of people on foot.
