Why join a local group?
Everybody has an opinion about their local area, good or bad. Living Streets local groups offer a practical way of getting your voice heard in the important places in your area. Whether its speeding motorists, vehicles parked on pavements, or anything else that frustrates you, a Living Streets local group is the place to turn your negative into a positive.
You don’t have to be a veteran of campaigning to join a local group, people of all ages and opinions are welcome.
What do groups campaign for?
Each area has their own issues, but pertinent issues at the moment include:
- A speed limit of 20mph on all of the streets where we live, work, and play.
- Vehicles parked on footways and pavements
- Obstructed pavements
- Making walking routes safe and desirable for the community
